And today another journey comes to an end. I am going to leave Australia to travel home, back to Germany. My last day of work was on Tuesday, Wayne and I finalised everything what we worked with.

The last three days I had freetime to enjoy the last couple of days here.

On Friday I had my farewell, together with Natalie, but seh will come back to Sydney. I met Erik and Julian in the city, then we went through it very sinnlosly. One of the most sadest moment was that I probably had my last Hungry Jacks meal for my whole life. Atleast we ordered a "big" meal, it was just amazing. After that we visitet Roy and Tim in his apartment, to have some predrinks tgether before we went to Darling Harbour, together with Natalie and her boyfriend, Stefanie and Sinnlos. We had some cocktails in a bar and then Julian and me tried the Lindt Choclate Bar. It was just like a dream. After the girls left, we went through the city in some other bars. After another 2 hours it was time to say goodbye. I went home and after waking up the next morning, I decided to have one final surf session. Even when it was raining I enjoyed probably my last surf for the next couple of months. Then it was time to finish my packings, after eating lunch i travelled to the airport, together with Wayne. We aslo said goodbye to each other, even though I have been spechless. I just cant believe, that my time was over and I wanted to stay. Hopefully we will see us again, maybe in one of his surf retreats.

I am already back home and it is good to see family and friends again. after 24 hours of travelling it was clearly enough, I landed in Düsseldorf and it began to rain, typicall Germany. But it gets better: When I came home it even started to snow, I thought with my stay in Australia I would overcome the winter, but its April... Today we had 3°C!?! Absolutely sinnlos.

What is it that makes us explore? The restless urge to pack up and go. When the rumor of a perfect wave won't leave your mind. The anticipation, the laughs, the disasters, the surf. It defines who you are.

I just had an increadible and amazing time in Sydney. I met new friends, probably the funniest ever and I am so thankfull for this unforgetable experience. The surfing is after football now of course the best sport. The australian lifestyle and the people have been amazing, everybody in fact was relaxed and always friendly. If I would have been ask to do something like this again, I would never hesitate to say yes. Even when I was not home for 4 months, it was the best time of my life so far and I would always do it again.

Thank you to everyone who was part of my jouney, I will miss this time.

Special thanks to Wayne Ryan, the greatest boss ever.
